Entertainment

All Bands & Performers

Coda Belle: a female a capella singing group.

We are Codabelle, an all-female vocal group based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. We are friends who love to sing and we perform a capella (without any accompaniment). Our repertoire includes folk, pop and gospel and we’re always looking out for new songs or working on fresh arrangements of old favourites. Codabelle performs regularly at open mic events, local concerts and festivals and private parties.

Soho Lites – vocalists, keyboard and guitar playing pop, rock and reggae covers.

The Saviours of Soul – ten piece band playing Soul, Disco, Funk & Christmas classics.

From the first hit of the opening bars you will realise this is a band with a difference.

The Saviours of Soul are a powerful 10 piece band with a professional sound taking you on a nostalgic trip through the soul, disco and funk classics right up to modern day floor fillers.

The band comprises of 3 dynamic vocalists along with guitar, bass, drums and keyboard together with a three piece horn section. All of this is backed up by professional sound system and lighting rig which enhances the full Saviours of Soul experience.

Create Space Studios – provides innovative & unique multi arts experiences for young people, adults & people with special needs, schools, the workplace & organisations.

Choir – our choir this year is made up of excellent local singers and members of Trinity Church choir.

Santa Claus!

Vist Santa on his bus

This year, Santa is bringing in his vingtage red Routemaster double decker bus onto the High Street! He can’t wait to visit with the children of Hurstpierpoint in his special grotto, and give presents to everyone (all for free, but donations welcome!)

If you would like to visit Santa, go to Mishon Mackay on the High Street to book a slot. If it is full up, Santa will make himself available for walkups between 6pm and 6.45pm on the night!

Massive thanks go to both Mishon and Freeman Brothers for making Santa happen this year!

Live Nativity

Nativity Procession

We are excited to feature a live nativity at this years event! Starting at 4.45pm, our nativity will begin their procession outside the Poachers pub. We’d love you to join us as we make our way up the High Street, with a beautiful choir singing Carols along the way! Watch as Mary and Joseph knock on the door at each Inn they pass on the way, looking for a place to spend the night.

The procession will end up at the bus shelter by the village green, and the nativity will setup. Stay a little longer to join the choir as they sing more carols on the stage!

Our Vision

The Hurst Christmas event has traditionally been one of the most important days of the year for the High Street traders. At a time when local businesses are having to work incredibly hard to stay afloat, the Christmas event presents an amazing opportunity for the local community to come together and support their High Street through late night shopping, celebration and fun!

We believe our High Street is a big part of our local character, and we want to work harder every year to play a huge role in bringing Hurstpierpoint together.

Our vision revolves around three main questions: how do we make the Christmas Fair a great event for the people of Hurst, how do we make it a great event for the local traders, and how do we ensure it is produced by the local community, for the local community, with a focus on supporting the existing local High Street traders.

Get Involved!

Christmas is about supporting as many of those in need in our community as possible. Are you a local charity who would like to have a stall during It’s a Wonderful Hurst? Then please get in touch. If you are a local business and would like a stall, we take applications on a case by case basis. We just ask that you do not sell or provide anything that competes directly with our local High Street traders.

If you would love to volunteer with us, or get invovled in any other way, we want to hear from you!
